- Birds & Their Voices: our island is a major migratory stop-over for almost every bird found on the west coast, with populations of eagles, loons, herons, owls and songbirds residing here year-round. 4-8 hours or multi-day.
- Animal Tracking: experience nature with our region's premier wildlife trackers who live right here on Lummi Island, specializing in the arts of tracking and the language of the birds. 6-12 hours or multi-day.
- Wilderness Survival: learn the critical order of survival to gain confidence in outdoor emergency situations, and to keep your family safe even if the lights west out for an extended period back home. 4-8 hours or multi-day.
- Wild Edible Plants: gather delectable wild edibles of the land and sea with some of our region's top herbalists who live right here on Lummi Island, and prepare a feast together using primitive cooking methods. 4-8 hours or multi-day.

- Primitive Fire by Friction: yes, it can be done, and you can do it with personal instruction from our staff, making your own bow-drill or other primitive method to make fire like your ancestors. 3-6 hours or multi-day.
- Local Geology & Astronomy: learn about the geology of Lummi Island and Mt. Baker which towers over the island skyline, discover stories of our crystal-clear nighttime skies. 2-12 hours or multi-day.
- Local Ecology: learn about the island's wetlands, intertidal life of starfish and sea anenomies, seaside old growth douglas fir trees, reclaimed fields of wildflowers and more. 2-4 hours or multi-day.

Come Meet Us
Click for a link to the Fall-Spring Class Series descriptions. All classes run from 6-9 p.m. including a pot-luck dinner. Classes take place at the new Wolf Camp home office at 1313 A 2nd St. in historic downtown Snohomish. Please park on "E" Street as there is no parking right around our home office. Costs vary, so see class descriptions for details.
AVAILABLE NOW:
Tuesdays: Permaculture Pot Luck begins January 6, 2009 and will run through Memorial Day, then pick back up again in the fall beginning September 22, 2009. This is a complimentary event for those who are currently engaged in permaculture projects and who will be preparing pot-luck dishes to share, while the public is also invited to attend at a $5.00 contribution level to learn about permaculture.
BEGINNING SPRING OF 2009:
Mondays: Cooperative Group Facilitation runs March 23 - May 19 in the Spring of 2009, and September 21 - November 16 in the Fall of 2009. The cost is $5.00 for those with demonstrated facilitation experience, and $10.00 per class for beginners.
Wednesdays: Earth Skills Study runs March 25 - May 21 in the Spring of 2009, and September 23 - November 18 in the Fall of 2009. There is no charge for those who are already teaching in the field of earth skills, or $5.00 for those who are actively studying the Wolf Journey or similar secret-spot-based curriculum, and $10.00 per class for everyone else.
Thursdays: Art & Music Composition runs March 26 - May 22 in the Spring of 2009, and September 23 - November 19 in the Fall of 2009. The cost is $5.00 for those who are currently teaching or professionally recording music and art, and $10.00 per class for beginners/intermediates. You can also try out your compositions on Friday nights at Open Mic Lives! located in the Thumbnail Theater just up the street from the Wolf Camp home office where Chris has some of his sound equipment on loan, and Chris will also help you schedule and promote cover performances of your compositions at the Thumbnail on Saturday nights if you like.

Employment: We only need instructors with experience running camps and teaching in the field of Earth Skills and Permaculture, including skills of Tracking, Primitive Artisanry, Herbalism, or Wilderness EMT training with real outdoor survival practice. If you would like experience as a teacher and learn skills of the Naturalist, Tracker, Herbalist, Scout, Hunter, Artisan, or Permaculture Pioneer, apply to become an instructor through our Earth Skills Teaching Apprenticeship. We are also seeking an additional permaculturist, herbalist, tracker, artisan, marketor, administrator, and custodian to invest in Wolf Camp during our transition into a workers cooperative.
